JULY 2, 2007, SPORTSWRITER DRU HIMES - Now that's some heat!!! The Infinite Munitiae squad, managed by Dru Himes (in NB for one calendar year and has 11 teams in his stable), pulled down the Inaugural Season Championship (Dru's 3rd Inaugural Championship in 4 Inaugural attmempts) in rare form. A sweep in the Championship after beating his Fiance's Wild-Card team in the Divisional Playoffs 4-1 places the bar high for any and all comers to the playoffs in following seasons. The pitching was definitely the strongest aspect of this team, unexpectedly so, being that we play in Coors Field! Having said that, we will be looking for gems in the draft as we traded off our 1st and 2nd rounders in the upcoming draft in attempt to be stronger in the playoffs by adding the services of RP Joe Nathan and RP John Smoltz, who bolstered an already strong staff and bullpen for a few more seasons to come! The offense was led by departing Waiver Wire acquisitions 2b Dan Uggla and 3b Ryan Zimmerman, along with OTF callups of SS Joe Tinker and OF Hugh Duffy, who will remain with Infinite Minutiae (translated to forever minor details) to build a dynasty in the Walter Johnson League.

JULY 2, 2007, COMMISSIONER'S DESK - After a rollicking good season, the Infinite Minutiae bagged an 8 - 1 record in the post season, gliding to the first-even Johnson championship without much resistance. With 113 wins on the regular season, the Minutiae simply outran most of their competition.

During their nine game playoff blitz, the Minutiae pitching staff held their opponents to a stunning 1.79 ERA, walked merely 12 oppposing hitters, and topped things off with 7 complete games, 2 of them shutouts from old-timer Barney Pelty.
