Nostalgia Sim Leagues

If you register for a team in one of our newly-forming leagues, you'll own your franchise from the inaugural draft onward. If you request a franchise in an established league, you'll be acquiring an 'orphaned' franchise, which means either that it's currently under the control of the league or is being abandoned by a previous owner. Orphaned franchises are not necessarily of inferior quality. In fact, the league steps in upon transfer to make sure your team has prospects for a solid future. Furthermore, many people consider it beneficial to become part of an established league where the owners know each other. But please read our orphaned franchise agreement.

Please Note: The franchise(s) of any owner whose account shows no activity for 30 days, or whose subscription has expired, will be made available on the open NB market.

About Our Leagues

Nostalgia Baseball leagues come in two basic varieties, standard and regional. Standard leagues feature multi-season contracts for players and the players are put in draft pools according to their historical debut dates. In regional leagues players are available for 1-2 seasons only and are drafted from pools organized by regions of the United States.

Our leagues come with varying  densities of play so that you can choose one that's right for you. We have some low intensity leagues that play games only once per week and complete two regular seasons per calendar year. Our high intensity leagues play every day and get in roughly five seasons per calendar year. Other leagues fall between these extremes. Generally speaking, the older the league the higher the competition level.

Each league is comprised of 2 conferences (American and National) with 2 divisions of 6 teams in each. That's 24 teams in all, 6 of which make the post season and get a chance to play for the championship.

Orphaned Franchise Agreement

  1. Orphaned franchises come in 'as is' condition,  which  means that player personnel, contracts, and ball parks cannot be  changed except  by  those  ordinary means provided  within the  game.
  2. Upon transfer of ownership, all but the best players will have their contracts changed to a Type 3 so that you can freely waive players you don't want.
  3. Orphaned franchises retain their current team classification levels, however you as the new owner will start from " Tee Ball" class.
  4. You will receive some limited-time special player rights on the waiver wire to help you improve.
  5. The league ensures that orphaned fanchises come in solid financial condition.
  6. Orphaned franchises come with at least 2 contract negotiation chips and at least 2 contract buyout chips in order to give their owners  additional leeway  for the future with any existing personnel.
  7. If you do not wish to be constrained by these rules, consider waiting for a franchise in a newly-starting league.
