Non-Technical
- At the bare minimum, you need to make draft preparations in the pre-season and submit your draft cards by the announced deadlines. After the draft, you must make contractual and initial management decisions and submit those to the commissioner before the season begins. Beyond that, it's up to the individual owner to decide how much time to put into the game. You can put your team on auto-pilot and not do anything for the rest of the season, or you can make regular managerial decisions.
- The creator of the simulator estimates that your team's destiny is determined mostly (perhaps 2/3) by the personnel you acquire. The remaining variables -- including roster depth, use of the waiver wire, response to developments like injuries and poor play, and numerous other strategy decisions -- are critical for getting the most of your team. An owner with superior personnel who does little to address the ongoing needs of the team may not be able to win a championship. As Sparky Anderson once remarked, everybody is going to win at least 50 games and lose at least 50 games. It's how you do in the others that counts!
Restrictions
- You may share your software with others in your household who play, but a multi-user configuration code must be requested from the commissioner in order make this possible.
