The Front Office

The Front Office provides you with the information and executive tools you'll need to oversee financial and legal matters pertaining to your franchise as well as some visual representations of your owner and franchise accomplishments, including various plaques, MVP and Cy Young recognitions, and the reigning champ's trophy.

The Accountant's Ledger

Your ledger provides the necessary information for keeping your budget in line and other useful information at-a-glance for purposes of franchise administration. There are seven main blocks of data on the ledger - credits, debits, supplemental account, account totals, itemized performance revenues, currently held rights and privileges, and attendance information - as indicated by the rectangular colored regions in the image above. Here is a description of each line item:

REGULAR ACCOUNT

Credits

Forwarded

Units (positive or negative) forwarded from the previous season. The forwarded amount is equal to the final regular account balance from the previous season, not the net worth.

Owner's Salary

The uniform number of units deposited by the commissioner into every owner's account for the current season.

Concessions Forecast

A forecast of units to be earned from merchandise sales, TV contracts etc. for the current season. This number fluctuates based on winning percentage and does not become final until the final game of the season is played. Here are the performance levels required to achieve concessions revenue:

Gate Receipts

Units earned by ticket sales for the current season.

Trade Receipts

Units received in trade deals during the current season.

Park Credit

Units earned as a result of your new park. How do I get a new park?

Performance Revenue

Units earned for rare feats and difficult plateaus. Some of these units may be paid pack to the players who earned them in the form of bonuses. See contracts.

Commissioner's Loan

Amount borrowed (see Owner Rights for terms and conditions)

Supplemental Withdrawals

Units withdrawn from your supplemental account during the current season. This counts as a credit because these units are being physically moved from one account (a free-standing account) to another. How do I make withdrawals?

Miscellaneous

A catch-all category which includes playoff earnings, award earnings, and any compensation units the commissioner may have given you.

Debits

Salaries and Bonuses

Units expended to date on salaries and bonuses.

Trade Expenditures

Units spent in trade deals during the current season.

Park Permit Fee

Permit fee for a new park (assessed only to the first year in a new park).

Interest Assessed

Units assessed on a negative regular account balance.

Supplemental Deposited

Units moved over to your supplemental account for the current season How do I make deposits?

New Park Lottery

Units spent on lottery tickets for a chance at a new park. How do I enter the lottery?

Loan Interest

Interest principle and interest paid-to-date.

Miscellaneous

A catch-all category that includes fees to waive players, units spent on successful bids to acquire players in the draft, and any units the commissioner may have taken from you.

SUPPLEMENTAL ACCOUNT

Purchase Power

Units available for drafting from the supplemental era.

Redeemable

Units transferable to your regular account. This number is always less than your purchase power because a tax is levied on all supplemental account withdrawals.

Season Interest Earned

Earnings for current season on units placed in the supplemental account. The interest rate is shown to the left of this line. It is based on your franchise's success in recent history - the more successful the lower the interest.

NET WORTH
