Making Trades
Trade Etiquette and Survival Guide
Once you and another owner have come to agreement on a trade (usually by email), take the following steps to enact the trade.

- The software will lead you through an interview, a step-by-step process in which you identify which team you'll trade with, and what players (and/or units or draft picks) will be traded.
- Only four entities can be traded: batting personnel, pitching personnel, draft picks and units.
- When the interview finishes, the result will be shown on the trade board. You can make up to 5 trades in an event cycle.
- In order for a trade to be transacted successfully, both you and your trading partner(s) must submit the same trade terms.
- Nostalgia Baseball assesses no trade fees, neither real money nor units.
- When a traded player is under an extended contract, the new owner must honor the remainder of his contract. As for the current season, the salaries of traded players are prorated, owners paying for the percentage of the season they used the traded player's services.
- To prevent teams from "beefing up" for the play offs, a trading deadline of August 31st is imposed. Visit the events schedule to see which game event closes the trade window.
- Exercise caution when trading draft picks. Should your trading partner lose their franchise due to financial mismanagement, the picks you obtain will be lost!
